Aseprite Color Bit Crusher

This custom script allows the user to crush the current images color binaries to a desired bit position. This script effectively converts the 24bit color spectrum to any desired lower bit spectrum such as 3 bit, 6 bit, etc. It also includes the ability to convert any color channel into any lower bit independent of other channels, including the alpha channel if desired.

WARNING: Any crushed channels can not be restored using this tool. This tools does not allow for the conversion of low bit channels to be enhanced to higher bit channels. Although this process can be undone using the undo action within Aseprite, it will remain permanent if applied, saved and closed.
